Hello and welcome to my website!

You may not know me yet, but I hope by the time you read through my website you will remember my name. My name is Mamadi Keita, but on the pitch everyone just calls me 'Mo'.

When I was young there was a story once told of a young boy who escaped the poverty of his country and the despair of his life by channelling his energy into his football. Playing football brightened his soul and gave him peace and hope. This boy could begin to escape the reality of his life by daring to dream. He would play on the streets of Africa with bare feet and a ball he had made himself, it did not matter that he hadn’t any riches, it did not matter that he hadn’t any boots, for the hope in his heart was all he needed. That boys name was Mamadi Keita and it is my story that I would like to share with you.

I am experiencing the dream of so many children not only throughout Africa but around the world. I have made the incredible journey from playing football on the streets of Africa to moving countries, joining a professional European football club and starting my dream career as a professional footballer.

My story is unique and so far has not been easy. This young boy got a whole lot more than he could ever have dreamt of....in order to really understand me and my journey, you have to know where I came from... the last and most important step to becoming a professional football player, is surely the most difficult one of all.
